Sylwester Janik

General Partner

Sylwester is a Founding Partner at Cogito Capital Partners and is responsible for the Fund’s Fintech, Mobile and IoT, AI & Machine Learning and Consumer Internet investments. Prior to Cogito, Sylwester was a Senior Partner and Member of the Board at MCI Capital, one of the leading European private equity group where he led the team of MCI.TechVenture Fund (EUR 250M+ AUM), focused on growth technology investments in Central Europe, Western Europe, Russia and Turkey.

Among Sylwester’s investments were Azimo, Answear, MarketInvoice, Morele.net, Travelata, iZettle (acquired by PayPal for $2.2B). He also completed several successful exits including Invia, One-2-One, NaviExpert, NetPress and NetRetail Holding.

Sylwester has 20 years of experience in VC/growth technology investments, strategic management, business development and M&A gained at senior executive roles among others at Lockheed Martin Technology Accelerator, ATM SA and PwC. He also has served as the Vice President of Polish Private Equity Association (2011-2018).

Sylwester holds an MBA in Strategic Management of Technology and e-Business from Cass Business School in London, UK.

Martin Jasinski

General Partner

Martin is a Founding Partner at Cogito Capital Partners and is responsible for the Fund’s Mobile and IoT, B2B services and MedTech investments.

Prior to Cogito, Martin was a Managing Partner at New Europe Ventures, a NYC-based venture fund focused on technology investments originating in Poland. Among Martin’s investments were Medicalgorithmics, OncoArendi, Estimote, AirHelp, Silvair, ExplainEverything, PiLab, JIVR Bike, Eventory, Waltz.

Martin has also had a successful career as a senior executive with broad management experience ranging from large corporate structures (Verizon, Tata Communications Growth Ventures), to management consulting (Aricent), to venture funded startups (Edgix). His 20 year business experience covered a range of senior roles in corporate strategy and development, product management, business development and R&D management.

Martin holds an MBA in Finance from Columbia University in New York.

Norbert Kruszewski

Principal

Norbert is a Principal at Cogito Capital Partners and focuses on investment opportunities in B2B services, SaaS, AI and Machine Learning.

Before joining Cogito, Norbert was an investment director at MCI Capital, where over 8 years was engaged in a number of early- and growth-stage tech investments (from initial investment, through portfolio management and exit) across Central Europe. Prior to MCI Capital, Norbert worked in the investment banking departments of Credit Suisse and Rothschild, and also as a financial analyst with Nestle. He is a certified international investment analyst (CIIA), a licensed investment advisor and stock broker.

Norbert has MA in Finance and Banking from Warsaw School of Economics.

Lukasz Przyzycki

CFO

Lukasz is the Chief Financial Officer at Cogito Capital Partners and manages all aspects of fund operations and reporting.

Lukasz joined Cogito from Innova Capital, a Warsaw-based private equity fund. Over the last 5 years Lukasz was a key member of Innova’s finance operations team and managed the fund’s administrative processes, day-to-day financial controlling of Innova’s funds and fund performance reporting. Prior to that, Lukasz was with PKF Consult, an audit and tax advisory firm, where he was an audit supervisor for 5 years working with a variety of corporate clients.

Lukasz has MA in Finance and Accounting from Lodz University and is in the process of becoming a Certified Investment Management Advisor.

Lukasz is based in Warsaw.

Junior Financial Controller

Przemyslaw is a Junior Financial Controller at Cogito where he focuses on fund reporting and controlling of its underlying investments.

Prior to joining Cogito, Przemyslaw held positions as a Fund Accounting Support Specialist at Credit Suisse, Senior Fund Accountant at the Derivatives Team at Citibank, and Senior Fund Accountant at State Street.

Przemyslaw holds an MA in Economics from the University of Warsaw and a BA in International Economics Relations from the University of Gdansk.

He is an enthusiast of blockchain and artificial intelligence usage in business.

Katarzyna Kolodziejczyk

Board Assistant

Katarzyna is the Board Assistant at Cogito and manages operations at the Warsaw office.

Prior to joining Cogito, Katarzyna gained professional experience as a Lawyer in several law offices and legal departments of large companies, where she focused on preparing contracts and legal opinions. She also worked as a Support Specialist in the Capital Funds and Repayable Instruments Department at the National Centre for Research and Development.

Katarzyna holds an MA in Law from the University of Warsaw and has completed postgraduate studies in New Technologies Law and Brand Management at the Warsaw School of Economics.

Her interests lie in new technology law, intellectual property law, and related rights in media and marketing.

Katarzyna is based in Warsaw.
